Learn To Make Your Own Award Winning Wines

Back by popular demand...we will be holding another wine making demonstration class at the winery. We will demonstrate the entire process from start to finish. Topics will include how to start a batch of wine, how and when to rack and stabilize the wine, and of course, bottling and corking. If you are thinking about starting to make your own wine, or, if you make wine, but are unhappy with the quality, you should attend this demonstration. The class will be Saturday, February 14th from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The fee for this class is $10 and seating is limited. Call or stop by the winery at 5783 Camp Rd. in Hamburg to enroll.

VALENTINE'S WINE PAIRING

Join us Thursday, February 12th at 7 PM for an intimate evening of food and wine pairings at the winery. We will be serving a progression of six food and wine pairings beginning with a sushi appetizer matched to our Pinot Grigio and finishing with a dark chocolate dessert served with Ruby port.

Tickets are available at the winery for $40 per couple and reservations are required.

WINE EXPLORATION SERIES

Join us at the winery for a three part series called "Exploring Your Senses." Whether you are just starting to learn about wine or you are looking to expand your wine knowledge, you will enjoy this lecture series. Wine tasting included all three nights. Thursdays, January 15, 22, and 29 at 7 PM. A single enrollment fee of $35 per person includes the lecture and wine and cheese for all three sessions. Exploring Your Senses

Come on in and let us guide you through an exploration of your senses. For the first time ever, in the month of January we will be offering a three week course on wine enjoyment. Perfect as a gift for the wine lover in your life, or just to treat yourself. We provide a laid-back atmosphere in which you can relax, have a glass and learn a bit about something you already enjoy, wine!

Holiday Open House--Dec 13

Join us on Saturday, December 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM for our Holiday Open House. Take a break from your hectic shopping spree to enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese. We will be sampling some of our newly released holiday wines, such as "Home For The Holidays" and "Winter White."

And, if there is a wine lover on your gift list, we can help...cork screws, wine chillers, stemware, gift baskets, and of course, wine. How about enrolling him or her in our "Exploring Your Senses" wine appreciate series?

Wine Pairing Enjoyed by All

Last Thursday's wine and food pairing at the winery was a great success! We sampled five different wines, each paired with an appetizer which complimented the wine. The South African Cabernet paired with 70% dark chocolate was the consensus favorite, with Alsace Riesling and smoked salmon possibly the runner up.

Heather and I would like to thank everyone who attended. If you were unable to join us this time, we hope to see you at one of our upcoming wine events.

Wine Tasting

This winter’s limited edition juices have been announced! WineExpert’s Limited Edition Program has offered some great international wines that you can make at home for under $4 per bottle. Some of the winery’s most popular bottled wines are made from past limited edition juices, including our Carmenere/Cabernet and Oktoberfest Riesling. This year’s selection includes some spectacular wines. On Thursday November 13, we will be having a Tasting and Pre Order Party at the winery to give everyone a chance to familiarize themselves with these wines. We will be showcasing wines similar to those offered for pre order, paired with simple foods for demonstration. The wines featured will be New Zealand Merlot and Gewurztraminer, South African Cabernet Sauvignon, Alsatian Riesling, and Italian Dolcetto. Come learn how climate and terrior can influence and even dominate the resulting wines of these regions.

The Tasting Party will be Thursday, November 13th at 7 PM. Admission is $12 per person. This is a great opportunity to take your home winemaking to the next level or just learn about some lesser known wine regions.
